Our College came into being in the year 1976 to cater to the needs of Higher
Education for the rural boys and girls. The initiative for this academic venture had
been taken by a renowned philanthropist and Educationist Vidwan Sri
GogineniKanakaiah of Tadikonda village. He, along with the likeminded people of
yester years, having realised, and visualised the need and role of Higher Education in
transforming the rural folk in its entirety, laid the foundation stone for our college.
And the college was named after ‘Bhagawan Sri Satyasai Baba’.
Initially, permission to start U.G. courses in Arts and Commerce was obtained
and the classes in these courses started in a private dwelling. Within a little span of
time, our college was lucky enough to step into its own premises, as the Government
of Andhra Pradesh allotted 22.20 Acers of land to it. The college got admitted into
the Grant-in-aid scheme on 01-6-1981.
